Behrad Azadi: Standing by the People During Crisis Days

Behrad Azadi, CEO of DoctorTo, stated: “During days when anxiety and concern became part of everyday life, we strived to ease people’s health worries by maintaining access to medical services, providing continuous support, and offering free consultations.”

According to the Tehran Electronic Commerce Association’s public relations, Behrad Azadi, CEO of the electronic health platform DoctorTo, emphasized the vital role businesses play in fostering hope and social resilience, especially during recent crises. He said, “DoctorTo considered it its duty not only to serve people during normal times but also to stand by our fellow citizens in critical moments. At a time when anxiety and worries were part of daily life, the importance of maintaining physical and mental health was felt more than ever.”

He added, “The DoctorTo team worked tirelessly to reduce health concerns by offering online appointment scheduling, phone, text, and video consultations, as well as clear communication regarding changes in doctors’ schedules. Our goal was to assure users that they could still monitor their health even under these conditions.”

Azadi explained that the support team contacted all doctors with active appointments and promptly informed patients of any cancellations or changes to prevent unnecessary travel. Doctors were also requested to report any schedule changes as soon as possible.

The CEO continued, “Alongside these efforts, in collaboration with volunteer doctors—especially psychologists—we provided free counseling services to those who needed remote consultations due to appointment cancellations, relocation, or inability to visit clinics.”

He also praised the technical team’s efforts to maintain platform stability, saying, “Given the state of the country’s internet infrastructure, the DoctorTo tech team made every effort to keep the platform running without interruption.”

Azadi stressed the social responsibility of businesses during such times: “Businesses are pillars of social dynamism and cohesion. In crises, their responsibility goes beyond service delivery or economic activity; they must serve as psychological refuge, livelihood supporters, and a foundation for solidarity. Responsible brand behavior can help rebuild social hope and public trust.”

Reflecting on their actions, the DoctorTo CEO noted: “We prioritized free consultations and quick updates about appointments for patients, maintained continuous communication between doctors and support teams, and provided remote work options, flexible hours, and psychological support for our staff to ease the pressures of these days.”

He concluded, “We believed responsibility was not just a slogan. Through humane decisions, effective services, and solidarity with users and colleagues, we aimed to share the burden. From crises, opportunities arise to redefine roles, strengthen human bonds, and build a more resilient society. We hope DoctorTo contributes to this new social capital—one based on awareness, trust, and mutual care.”
