The RetailTech Commission of the Tehran Electronic Commerce Association Has Commenced Operations
In line with its professional activities and aimed at addressing the challenges faced by e-commerce stakeholders in the retail sector, the RetailTech Commission has officially launched. During its inaugural meeting, elections were held, and Masoud Tabatabai, CEO of Digikala, was elected as Chairperson, while Masoud Shahmoradi, CEO of Khanoumi, was chosen as Vice Chairperson by the commission members.
The mission of the RetailTech Commission is to enhance transparency and improve the retail environment in the country. With a specialized focus on combating smuggling and optimizing the supply chain, the commission aims to develop solutions that promote transparency in the national economy. It will also oversee the enforcement of relevant laws and evaluate operational procedures to take effective steps toward improving the business climate in this sector.
Members of the RetailTech Commission include representatives from Digikala, Technolife, Torob, Banimode, Khanoumi, iMalls, Basalam, and Snapp Shop, all actively participating in the commission’s work.
As one of the most significant segments of e-commerce, the RetailTech industry plays a crucial role in the country’s economic development and employment through the rapid growth of online businesses and increasing adoption of advanced technologies in retail.
